(This is not a picture of my children's actual teeth, FYI)
Long story, so grab some popcorn, if you dare! For the last few years, we have not had dental insurance, so that meant no dentist appoinments... Until a week ago, when I lugged the quorum in for a few x-rays and some cleaning. To my dismay, there were a few (meaning A LOT) of problems! The tally ended up like this:
Jackson - 2 cavities
Braxton - 10 cavities
Kaydon - 7 cavities and 2 root canals
Colton - 10 cavities
SWEEEEEEEET!!! Not.
Yesterday was the day... the day of the shots, the drill and a lot of Diet Coke for mom. (Yes, sometimes it's still all about me)
Kaydon went first... for his two root canals. The dentist told me his pain tolerance was inhuman. I already knew that. Braxton went next. One quadrant of fillings done. Few tears, he'll live. Colton was next. One quadrant of fillings done. No tears and a cool toy from the treasure box. Jackson was last. I little tylenol for an extra deep drilling and he will be just fine. I kid you not, my kids came out GREAT! The dentist, who is in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir which makes ME famous, was AMAZING. He came out and sat with me and told me that I am a "cute single mom with cute kids!" YESSSSSSSSSSSS!! He talked about his wife and grandkids and my kids fell in love with him. He called me last night, from his home phone, just to check on all of us.
My grade for you, DR. BRIAN HOMER at CREEKSIDE DENTAL ON CREEK ROAD IN MIDVALE, UTAH, is an A+++++++!! See ya in two weeks for more fillings :)
