Always have a plan B!

Saturday, we met at my dad's and prepared to go four wheeling for the day. Everything was loaded. Brandon had attached the trailer to the BRAND new tow package that was put on the Trooper. The four 4-wheelers were loaded, food was loaded, chairs were loaded, children were loaded and away we went... until we got to the bottom of the street and the BRAND NEW TOW PACKAGE FELL OFF!! That is NOT a joke! Fell off, people. In the middle of the road, were we. My kids were crying, Brandon was saying words that only Brandon can say, I was sitting in my camp chair in the middle of all saying to myself, "Charity, think charity, don't kill the man who attached this BRAND NEW tow package!"

After hours of sitting, waiting for the *nice, well-trained* man who attached the BRAND NEW tow package that FELL OFF, and listening to him tell us that "this has never happened before and he doesn't understand how he could have forgotten a bolt and he can't fix it here and it will take a while to fix it" we went to plan B (which we had to make up quickly). We went and saw "Toy Story 3" and ate some popcorn and then went and got Cold Stone ice cream. My kids were so heart-broken. They were so tired. They were so NOT thinking the charitable thoughts that I have been trying to teach them...

... but in the end, we spent time together and slept good Saturday night. It's all good. The 4-wheeling trip has been postponed, but it will happen. Life is good.
