My Dear, Sweet friend... the one I call "Birdie" put the following quote on her blog. She put it there for me, on this very difficult day. She is more unbelievable then you will ever know... a survivor of the worst forms of crime and heartache. She now spends her life comforting those who need comfort, teaching those who need to learn, and raising a family, particularly a beautiful daughter to never, ever experience what she did. Birdie said to me today that it's okay to cry because some days just stink! So, I kept right on crying!! I needed her permission to do so. I love you, Birdie!"Our Father in Heaven has given us, His children, much more than any mortal mind can comprehend. Under His direction, the Great Jehovah created this wondrous world we live in. God, the Father, watches over us, fills our hearts with breath-taking joy, brightens our hours with blessed peace, distills upon our minds precious truths, shepherds us through times of distress, rejoices when we rejoice, and answers our righteous petitions."
President Uchtdorf.
My day has been blessed with a sweet Grandma who picked up Colton from school at the last minute, a wonderful phone call from my son, a note from a dear co-worker, lots of texts and IMs and a phone call from people I cherish.
