Alas...
Thankfully, it's the start of a new week tomorrow! Hooray for new days and new weeks, especially when the one we have just survived seemed extra cruel...but knowingly not as cruel as others may have just survived, or may be in the midst of surviving. Our kids are well. Braxton is beginning to experience the pain that the doctor told us to expect, but he just keeps on smiling. Sweet boy. Jackson has developed a large lump under his lower jaw...we are hoping that it is a bug bite from the famous Father/Son campout. If not...another trip to Kids Care tomorrow won't kill us. Smile. Kaydon is super excited about working with Grandpa this week. He lives for that time. Big Smile. Colton has been attached to Jeremy all weekend. Tomorrow could be rough when Jeremy is at work, but we'll manage. Sigh. Shelbi and Kenna are in my thoughts every hour of everyday and my gratitude for their loving mother is in my heart as well. My backyard looks quite a big bigger, thanks to the sod angel(s) who dropped a delivery by yesterday in the middle of the chaos. It's beautiful and lush...and in a silly way a sign that things go on, even (and especially) in times of struggle. As I continue to look for child care for our kids while I work two more days a week beginning soon, I am reminded constantly of how blessed we are that my in-laws watch them three days a week and that the boys are happy and loved when they are with them. Life continues to move forward, even if we aren't quite ready for it to. We must continue to have faith in every single footstep and just keep putting one foot in front of the other...We have to. I am grateful for a simple testimony that we are Children of God. I am grateful that I have always known this and that it sustains me in trying times and in wonderful times. I look forward to a new week with new challenges and new blessings.
