Mommy Thoughts

Colton had his doctor appointment for kindergarten today. It was a little surreal standing next to him as he did his eye sight check. He is the last member of the quorum to go into kindergarten. He has been my constant companion for the last few years. Colton and I run errands together, we go get treats together, we go deliver mail with Dad together...It's a little sad to know that the last of the boys are heading off to bigger and better things...like recess. He can be a sweet little guy. He likes to "make out" with my cheek! Kiss after kiss after kiss! I LOVE it!!

Kaydon is extremely enthusiastic about tomorrow night...he gets the staples out of his head. Let me tell you, I am grateful for staples in his head! I was told over and over again that he would never be a "normal" kid...he wouldn't walk, talk, even get teeth. Boy, were they wrong! He is a little dare devil. Life is such an adventure for him! Right before he cracked his head open this last time, he was riding his bike and ran into a garbage can. He went flying over the garbage can, over his handle bars, and into the street. He thought it was the coolest thing ever...and secretly, so did I. He loves his dad...a lot!

Braxton LOVES school. That kid could live at school, with Mrs. Adams, for the rest of his life and be genuinely tickled! He has different ideas on what he should be doing than Jeremy and I. Listening is not a gift of his! But, loving is. He is fast, athletic, smart and energetic...about everything. His joy in life is working with Grandpa every chance he gets, on whatever it is that they are doing. Grandpa could tell him to shovel poop and Braxton would be thrilled beyond words. He isn't one to tell me that he loves me, but he does yell "bye Mom" when he gets out of the car in the morning...I pretend he is telling me he loves me.

Jackson is a friend to everyone. He has my tender personality. He and I are both easily offended, and quick to forgive. He is a little love. He is one to tell me and Jeremy that he loves us over and over and over again. He loves to be out and about and socializing. As he gets older, he likes to be out more and more. I miss him. Sometimes, I tell him no just so I can have him home with me. He gives good hugs! He tells me he loves me.

Shelbi is always so excited to see me. She loves to see me in the car when we get them from Malad. It makes me so happy. She loves to wear my clothes now, which I secretly love too. She is so grown up, or at least she likes to act like she is. She is still my little babe!

Makenna loves me to call her goober, boo boo, and princess. She is my goober! She loves to stick right by my side...which I like too. She likes to sing songs and do dances. She LOVES her big brothers, probably because she is still the baby of this family.
Everyday, I am exhausted at night. Things to do, people to see, lessons to teach, errands to run, chores to do...etc. But I am SO thankful for the blessing of being a mommy. I am so blessed.
