Last night, the quorum and I had date night. We went to the movies and saw Karate Kid. We ordered our normal two buckets of popcorn and one drink (all to be shared). This time, both buckets of popcorn had EXTRA butter. Ooh la la!
The movie was excellent! Miss Birdie had warned me that the Karate instructor was not a nice man in the movie. She was right. I was glad I discussed that with my boys. But, I was also able to remind my boys that life will knock us down, but we can choose to get back up... and that no matter how hard, or how scary, or how sad things seem, life will always get better. And it will. I believe that and I want them to know that I know that.
