This is not the first time I have covered in the President's office, however it is the first three hour shift I have had there.
This is how smart I am:
1. I tried for twenty minutes to turn on the computer... then I noticed there wasn't actually a computer there to turn on.
2. Pick up my phone, "Hi Nate! I am pretty sure I don't have a computer here."
3. Nate, laughing, brings me my laptop.
4. Can't seem to get the internet on my laptop (PROBLEM!! How am I going to farm on facebook?!)
5. Call I.T. Gus, in IT, immediately starts laughing cuz it's me, again. NOT funny. "Gus, I have no internet." Gus says, "Heidi, there is a switch on the left of your laptop that turns on your internet card." ... Gus, again, for the millionth time, "Heidi, you're so silly."
6. My boss has so much faith in me that she tells me, "Ok, Heidi, when the phone rings answer 'President's office, this is Heidi.'" THANKS Gay!
7. Jonathan, our accountant, comes down SHOCKED that they asked ME to help in their office.
8. Michelle, my co-worker, just giggles every time she walks by.
What?! What is SO wrong with them having a little confidence in me working in their office for three hours?!?!
I am NOT dumb... I'm not...I'm not... I'm not!

I'm sure you were great! That's too funny though. I don't function well in new situations. Bully for you for trying!
