This is a picture of Colton and Kenna hugging each other while swimming today. This is a success. They clearly love each other, but sometimes it's shown in a different way...or somphin like that. :)Speaking of success, last night at the awards dinner that I attended with my mom- you know, the one with the GRAND bathrooms- there was a speaker, named Jon Gordon. He made a lot of really great points and really great suggestions. The one that stuck with me though, is this:
He said that every night when he tucks his kids into bed, he asks them what their "success of the day" was. He said he started it about a year ago. He said at first they were a little taken off guard. They didn't quite understand what a "success" was. But, as time has gone on, they have started to really look for their successes during their day.
I started this tonight with our kids. I asked each of them what their success of the day was. It put a smile on their face. It made them feel good about themselves. It was fun. It will be something that I do every night. I hope it goes well!
