My Wednesday

Yesterday was a beautiful day... warm and sunny. So pretty.

Yesterday, I went to the back doctor...my favorite! It was injection day! Oh goodie! Jeremy and I went, sat down and waited with great anticipation. Apparently Jer got bored, because he broke (in half) two of the doctors displays in the room. One was a hip, the other was a spine. Awesome babe. At least we both got a chuckle out of it. I went into the procedure room, dropped my britches, and layed face down on the dreaded table while I watched the nurse pull out very, very long needles. The tears started. This is normal. I cry during these every time. The doctor and radiology tech came in, and the fun began. I have only ever had one injection done each time on the right side...but yesterday was my oh-so-lucky day. I got to have one on the right AND one on the left. NOT FUN people! SO NOT FUN! Pain. Tears. Not a lot of laughter, except when Jer was being silly.

We went home. Jer got me on the pot. I stayed there for quite some time. He got me in my jammies and to my chair I went. Jer made spaghetti. It was delicious. He loaded me up with medicine. He brought me a yummy shake that E Dub brought over for me. I scarfed that right down. And, I watched my Yankees.

Jeremy took the boys to Parent Teacher conferences. I don't remember the last time I went to conferences. I have either just had surgery, or just had an injection every time they come up. Jeremy is an all-star, though and handles it all just fine. We are proud of our boys. We are grateful that they have good teachers. We are grateful for the little trials, too, so that we can learn and grow and do better as a family.

And to wind up my night, my Yankees are the 2009 World Series Champions!
