This past Saturday, Macey's Grocery Store was having a free carnival, with 10 cent hot dogs, sno cones, popcorn, etc. I was all over that! So, the kids and I walked over right when it started. I knew right away that this was going to be rough-going. But, the kids took off their shoes and went down the slide... a few times.
Then, we got into line. A long line. I mean, a very long line. For what? For balloons. Free balloons.
We didn't realize that there were these long, long lines for everything that we might want to do/eat. The kids were starting to realize that this may not be too fun.
But, they got their balloons. Then, they looked at me and said, "Mommy, can we go have lunch with Daddy instead?"
Good idea, guys! We walked home and let that one hour of chaos be but just a memory...
