Taco Bell

Dear Taco Bell-

Tonight, my husband and I ran for the border. We haven't done that since the day I was in a very bad accident three years ago. I was very eager to eat my favorite: the nacho bell grande. When we walked in, it smelled delicious. I ordered my nacho bell grande, with enthusiasm, then I ordered a pina colada freeze and a fresco soft taco. Jeremy ordered his usual: burrito, double decker, and another burrito. We sat at a table all by ourselves, just like we did on that day three years ago. We ate our dinner, laughed, talked, laughed some more... Then we left. Instead of getting right into the car, we walked across the parking lot, then back to the car. No accidents tonight. No terrifying sounds of metal crunching all around me. No glass breaking everywhere. No ambulances or fire engines. No stretchers or neck braces or back boards. No hospital. Just a nice, quiet drive back to our house, where I was safe.

It's funny the things that bring back terrible memories. Taco Bell, you bring back terrible memories for me, but I am okay now. Life has gone on and you still have delicious nachos. Thanks for being patient with me. I know you probably missed me. My husband has missed you!! I'm back now!

I'll see you soon!!
Love,
Heidi
