Holes

This is Jeremy fixing a whole in the wall in our family room today, a REALLY BIG hole in the wall. Holes in walls are a funny thing. They are UGLY, for one. They are distracting, for two. They are UGLY, for three. I pretty much demanded that he fix it today. I couldn't stand to look at it. I hated it. It reminded me of ugliness. This hole in my wall made me think of our Spirits. So many times, at least for me, there are holes in our Spirits. Satan LOVES holes!!! He gets in there and starts to inch away at the drywall, you know? He starts to make the holes bigger and uglier. He loves to see big, ugly, distracting holes in our Spirits. I can't function very well with holes. I just want to say how thankful I am for a way to fix holes, the atonement. I am so thankful that I am a member of this gospel and that I know of the atonement. I am so thankful for prayer, for the ability to talk to my Father in Heaven and that he is wise and all-knowing. I am thankful for experiences that we have everyday, good and bad, sometimes very bad, that help (force us) to rely on our Heavenly Father. I am thankful.
